About us

Russell founded Blomster Designs in 1997; ‘Blomster’ is Danish for flowers and there are Scandinavian influences visible throughout all areas of the business.

Over the years we have created bespoke floral designs for numerous clients – from large lavish occasions to small intimate affairs across the Home Counties, London and further afield. By nurturing and developing a relationship with our clients we are able to convey the sense of occasion they hope to achieve, displaying some of nature’s most beautiful flowers set in perfect harmony with their surroundings.

Using only the freshest, highest quality flowers and plants we produce innovative floral designs for our contracts, weddings, events and private clients.

This is an incredible planet we live on and we want to help keep it that way.

So what do we do at Blomster Designs?

We are well aware that being an industry based on imports, our combined carbon footprint could be smaller.

Here are just a few of the ways that we are working to reduce our footprint:

We buy 99% of our flowers from Holland and they are delivered directly to us cutting out trips to the market saving on miles, fuel & emissions

We have switched to using biodegradable floral foam if we need to use it and design as much as possible to be in vases with water and chicken wire

We sort all of our rubbish and send all plastics be recycled and green waste to be composted

We wrap flower boxes and use them to transport bridal flowers and cardboard we can't use is recycled

To reduce our use of cellophane and tissue paper, we have introduced the reusable porta-vase for both our local and nationwide bouquet deliveries. Our bouquets are set in water in the porta-vase and presented in a recyclable cardboard presentation box.
